Beautiful and One-of-a-Kind 1966 Crown Coach! Completely Renovated w/ 855 Cummins Big Cam II Engine! Tons of Features & Upgrades! Meticulously Built!
If you are looking for the ultimate full time cruising coach you have found it with this 1966 Crown Custom Motor Coach 40.
Originally built in 1966 by Crown Bus Manufacturing as a Highway Post Office (HPO) worked as a moving mail sorting center for the US Postal Service.
The bus was purchased in 1975 and converted and customized for personal use. The coach has been refitted mechanically and refinished exterior and interiors multiple times over the 50 years of ownership by the family members.
The coach was last customized in 2011 with full body paint and epoxy sealer on the exterior. The Coach is kept in climate controlled garage to keep the pristine paint finish in showroom condition.
The interiors boast solid surface tops and walnut burl accent trim throughout. Leather upholstery seating in the forward lounge.
Mid-ship is a galley with abundant cabinet storage and stained glass inlays. Fully equipped with all appliances found in a residential home, including a side-by-side refrigerator and independent icemaker.
Heading to the rear is a full-bath room with shower, and all the way aft is the primary bedroom with ample large coach width mirrored rear wardrobe closet.
Customized frame with engine mounted under chassis - midship.
Engine Size: 855 Cummins Big Cam III - 650 hp, Allison 750 automatic transmission.
Engine rebuild details: Full Custom engine build and repower in 1998 - Custom Fuel, cooling, turbo/boost, exhaust, air intake, electrical systems.
Chassis Details: Full original chassis on (10) airbags(New 2021) (Full Air Ride). 3 axle, with true dual tire tandem axles(10 Michelin XZA tires)(New 2021) on aluminum Alcoa Wheels, Brakes on all axles.
(6) Koni fully adjustable shocks. (3) 2" diameter custom made swaybars with polyurethane bushings. Chassis rated to 60,000 lbs. GVW.
Generator: 15kw Kubota approx300 hrs
50/30 amp service
