One of a kind custom renovated Airstream Argosy 20
Want a one of a kind, easily towable Airstream trailer that can double as a guest room? Then look no further than this 1977 Airstream Argosy 20.
The Dreamsicle, as the current owner affectionately calls her, has been completely renovated and fitted with custom features. The renovation is based on three themes: American West, Night Sky, and Dreams.
At just 2850 pounds, this beautiful trailer can be towed by almost any vehicle! It has electric brakes, and the owner says it tows great.
Alternatively, as the current owner has done, you can turn it into an income source by setting it up as a guest room and renting it out (e.g., Airbnb).
The original dinette has been replaced with a twin bed to create a front bedroom that sports a custom, autographed mural of an Arizona desert scene. There's also a gaucho that converts into a bed opposite the kitchen.
The kitchen counter is made from an antique drafting table and sports a new catering sink with an upgraded faucet. The original stove has been repainted with a high heat-rated metallic paint to provide additional character. A new refrigerator, cabinets, and slide-out shelf further enhance the kitchen.
The bathroom includes an antique corner sink, tiled surfaces, a new toilet, shower fixtures, and a privacy window.
The water system has been completely replaced with PEX plumbing, the original water heater has been replaced with an instant-on model, and the water pump has been upgraded.
The heating system has also been upgraded. The resistance heater has been removed, and the furnace has been replaced with a heat pump.
The electrical system has been upgraded with a new AC to DC converter, Lithium Phosphate batteries, and a new shore power cord and connector.
Other recent renovations include a new tongue jack, a 7-pin connector, an axle, and new tires and hubs. Some screens have been replaced, and the LP tanks were re-certified in late 2022.
