This is a 2003 Airstream Safari 25C unlike any other on the planet. In fact, protecting our planet is what this beautiful travel trailer is all about.
Its current seller is the 3rd owner. The previous owners bought the coach from the owners who remodeled the unit and were using it as an educational example for the use of environmentally-conscious materials and recreational/camping use. The dinette and pop-up table were removed and a desk/computer workstation was installed.
The Airstream Safari 25C is a lightweight, easy-to-tow, highly maneuverable travel trailer that matches up well with SUVs, 1/2-ton trucks, and similar tow vehicles. A Hensley hitch with two receiver inserts and an adapter are included.
Anyone wishing to do extensive "boondocking" and environmentally conscious off-grid camping are sure to appreciate the multitude of features in this Airstream Safari travel trailer. All manuals and educational and use instruction materials are included.
This '03 Safari carries these eco-friendly features:
Madagascar Ebony Echo Wood Veneer (covering existing cabinets) by Hardwoods, Inc (material). Installed by Eco Craft Cabinetry. (Installation involved low VOC 3M contact adhesive and finish).
Vida Cork planks and natural linoleum flooring.
The kitchen countertop was re-surfaced with Marmoleum Paperstone and natural linoleum countertops.
The Interior and exterior LED lighting by Elemental LED include interior strip lights, puck lights, dimmers, and waterproof exterior strip lights.
Lumicor recycled eco architecture resin shower door- 1/2 inch silver spun.
Composting toilet- Nature's Head (waterless with a 1 amp fan that runs 24 hrs/day for ventilation).
Two Fantastic fans with rain sensors, one in front and one in the rear galley.
Ceiling and walls are modeled and finished with American clay, polymer, and earth.
Tea Leaf Supreme eco-friendly by Keetsa main bed mattress.
The Solar/Batteries/Inverter system includes three solar panels on the roof. (500 Watt Solar power system by Applied Solar Energy -- Outback Power and Bogart Engineering- Two 130-watt flexible panels (High Flex Solar) and one 240-watt adjustable rigid panel (Trina Solar).
Includes Outback trio of products- a 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter/charger (under the couch), FlexMax 60 amp charge controller (under the couch), and Mate 2 digital monitor.
Original house batteries were replaced by four Fullriver DC224-6 6V AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) Deep Cycle (two under the couch and two in the original battery box).
Also, there is a Bogart Trimetric 2025RV battery Monitor which provides battery usage and condition data.
